70th Annual State Science Fair Luca Durham, 6th grader and only student from MAST advancing to the 70th annual state science fair, has now been selected to advance to the national level. In addition to Luca Durham advancing to the national level, both 6th graders Annie Diaz and Alexander Yannuzzi advanced also. These kids work extremely hard in and out of the classroom and to put in the level of work in which they did with the support of their awesome parents, I cannot help but to brag about them. MAST Academy Swim Team Congratulations to the MAST Academy Swim team on finishing as one of the best teams in MAST history. Junior Gabriel Martinez finished 3rd in the state at the 100 Yard Butterfly Sophomore Jake Kotz-Agramonte finished 2nd in the state at the 100 Yard Freestyle The 4 x 100 relay team finished 4th in the state. & The 4 x 50 Relay team are your Class 2A STATE CHAMPIONS!!! The girls also had success in Ocala: The girls Medley Relay broke the school record. The Junior Calla Kelble broke her own MAST 100 Breast from earlier in the year as well as her 200 IM record. GMAC Championship tournament I’m thrilled to share some incredible achievements from the recent GMAC Championship tournament! Our boys’ golf team, led by Coach Wood, finished in an impressive 2nd place, with senior Alfonso Goyeneche winning the overall individual championship – an outstanding accomplishment! Additionally, our boys’ and girls’ swim teams, under the guidance of Coach Yuniel and Coach Ervin, also earned a strong 2nd place finish. Values Matter Miami Poster Contest "Celebrating a Decade of Making Values Matter." Miami-Dade County Public Schools is celebrating ten years of Values Matter Miami. Fairchild Award Winners Join me in congratulating our students and teachers on their Fairchild achievements. I am beyond proud of our students and the teachers who have guided and supported them throughout this process. Ms. Martinez, thank you for your dedication in teaching our students to do their part to take care of our world. The Pine Rock Garden is a wonderful addition to our school grounds. I see how much time you and the students have put into creating and maintaining the garden. We received Silver Award for BOTH middle school and high school and received a frame and $750 for each the middle and the high school! To obtain Silver we had to do very well in each of the competitions. Therefore, thanks to the teachers mentioned above.
