Mecha Makos Student Robotics Club
The Mecha Makos Robotics Club student teams compete in robotics competitions throughout the year, including VEX robotics competitions, First Tech Challenge (FTC), First Robotics Competitions (FRC) and Marine Advanced Technology Education (MATE) competitions . The robotics team and engineering program have received numerous awards and recognitions over the years. The robotics team will meet from 3-4 on Thursday afternoons throughout the school year. Meetings are held in the MAST engineering room and the team is coached by MAST engineering educator Mr. Allan Miller.
Parent Booster Club
The Mecha Makos Engineering & Robotics Booster Club is a non-profit corporation that helps support the engineering program and robotics club at MAST Academy. The parent Booster Club raises funds to purchase robotics and engineering equipment, parts, and supplies; and cover registration, travel and other expenses to enable students to participate in competitions and conferences at the state, national, and international levels. Parent-members also participate by volunteering and supporting the team at competitions and other student activities.
Parents are asked to pay $30 to join the Booster Club. The $30 fee covers one Student membership in the Robotics Club. Additional Student memberships will cost $15. These fee will help cover the costs of your student’s participation in this technology-intensive activity. We appreciate your support.
