Student Parking

Submission of an application does not guarantee a decal will be issued.

Beginning August 18, 2025 students WILL NOT be allowed to park on campus unless they have a valid student parking decal.

**Due to the uniqueness of our campus, student parking is very limited. Carpooling or parent drop off is highly encouraged. In addition, you may wish to utilize public transportation provided by the county as a means of transportation to school. Or utilize the transportation options provided by MDCPS. **

 MAST PARKING POLICY

Students must apply for a MAST Academy Parking Decal by the application due date. Only complete and accurate applications will be accepted and entered into the Parking Decal Lottery.

Priority will be given to students based on their grade level beginning with seniors. A lottery system will be used if needed for remaining grade levels. Submission of an application does not guarantee a parking decal will be issued for students in any grade level. The number of parking decals issued will depend on the number of available parking spaces per school year.

Applications for students who are not eligible to drive as of the first day of school will be accepted as they become eligible beginning in September. Spaces will be issued to these students based on parking space availability.

Parking decals may not be shared and are only valid for one registered vehicle. Decals must be displayed on the rear left side, drivers side, of the back windshield.

Vehicles must park facing the front of the space and may not pull into the space in reverse.

Students who miss 3 or more days or more within one week will have their parking pass revoked. Special arrangements must be made in advance if you will not be parking due to car repairs or other reasons.

MAST Academy assumes no liability for any theft or damage to vehicles.

Lotteries will be conducted in the Activities Office under the supervision of the administrative staff. A waiting list will be created for students who are not allocated a parking decal.

Parking privileges may be revoked for the following reason(s):

• Probationary status (academic and/or conduct)

• Unpaid financial obligations and/or fees

• Disciplinary action taken during the school year (i.e. Suspension)

• Student Code of Conduct violations

• Excessive absences/tardies-more than 10 excused or unexcused

• Non use of the parking space for 3 school days within one week

• Careless or reckless driving on campus

• Parking a non-registered vehicle on school property

• Administrative decision

Revocation of parking privileges will result in the loss of privileges for the remainder of the school year. A student who loses his/her parking privilege must remove the decal and return it to the administration.
