Student Parking

Effective for 2026-2027 school year. This policy supersedes all previous versions.

Parking Application:2026-2027 Parking Decal Application

Purpose

This policy governs student parking on the MAST Academy campus. Its purpose is to ensure students arrive on time, keep the campus secure by the start of the school day, and manage a limited number of parking spaces fairly.

Eligibility and Application

Students must apply for a MAST Academy Parking Decal by the established application deadline. Only complete and accurate applications will be accepted and entered into the Parking Decal Lottery.

Priority will be given based on grade level, beginning with seniors. A lottery system will be used, as needed, for the remaining grade levels. Submitting an application does not guarantee that a parking decal will be issued. The number of decals available will depend on the number of student parking spaces available for the school year.

Applications from students who are not eligible to drive on the first day of school will be accepted as they become eligible, beginning in September and after the initial waiting list has been exhausted. Decals will be issued to these students based on availability.

The lottery will be conducted in the Activities Office under the supervision of administrative staff. A waiting list will be created for students who are not initially allocated a parking decal.

Campus Access and Arrival Time

All applicants and students who have been issued a decal may park on campus on a first come, first served basis. School Security and Administration will guide you to your parking spaces daily. Students will not be given a specific parking spot. Your decal must be displayed as indicated daily to facilitate this process.

Parking spaces are open until 7:55 AM. Students arriving after 7:55 AM will not be allowed to park on campus, regardless of decal status or space availability. This requirement supports on-time arrival and helps secure the campus by the start of the school day.

Decal and Vehicle Requirements

  • Decals may not be shared and are valid for one registered vehicle only.
  • Decals must be displayed on the rear left (driver’s) side of the back windshield. Students who receive decals will also receive a paper visor sign that they will need to display on their windshield as they pull into the campus.
  • Vehicles must park facing forward and may not back into space.
  • Only the registered vehicle associated with the decal may use the assigned space.

Attendance and Space Use

Students with excessive tardies or absences will have their parking pass revoked.

Administrative Authority

Administration reserves the right to revoke a student’s parking decal at any time and to prevent any future campus parking by that student, at its discretion, independent of the specific grounds listed below.

Revocation of Parking Privileges

Parking privileges may be revoked for any of the following reasons:

  • Probationary status (academic and/or conduct)
  • Unpaid financial obligations and/or fees
  • Disciplinary action taken during the school year (e.g., suspension)
  • Student Code of Conduct violations
  • Excessive absences or tardies (see automatic revocation below)
  • Careless or reckless driving on campus
  • Parking a non-registered vehicle on school property
  • Parking vehicles in non-authorized student spaces on the school property
  • Not following the decal display rules set or forward-facing parking rules
  • Administrative decision

Any student with 10 or more excused or unexcused absences, or 20 or more tardies, will have their parking decal automatically revoked.

Revocation results in loss of parking privileges for the remainder of the school year. A student who loses parking privileges must remove the decal and return it to the Activities Office.

Liability

MAST Academy assumes no liability for theft of, or damage to, any vehicle parked on campus.
